Trish DeTura is a Board Certified Nurse Midwife with more than 20 years of experience in the community as a midwife, nurse, and educator. She has worked through Newark Beth Israel Hospital, University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) in Newark, and Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx as a nurse practitioner and educator.
Bridging the divide between modern medicine and holistic therapies, her own research and studies in natural womens health span the last 15 years. She has studied with David Winston, AHG, Peeka Trenkle, AHG, DSH, and Rosita Arvigo, ND. She has also studied homeopathy at the School of Homeopathy NY as well as the British Institute of Homeopathy.

I became a Maya Abdominal Therapist as a result witnessing an improvement of my own health challenge... I was Not satisfied with the advice my medical colleagues were suggesting. Not being satisfied with what the medical community offered, I pursued other options... This led me to a practitioner's office & from there to what has unfolded as my life mission: supporting women through various challenges in their life. It was through Maya Abdominal Therapy, herbal support & homeopathy that my health improved.
