The Arvigo Technique of Maya Abdominal Therapy™

Get in touch with me by phone or email to schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation where we'll get very clear very quickly on your needs and if Maya Abdominal Massage can help you.

The ancient Mayan technique of abdominal therapy is an external, non-invasive massage technique. It guides internal abdominal organs into their proper position for optimum health and well-being. Maya abdominal therapy improves organ function by releasing physical and emotional congestion from the abdomen. When blockages and congestion are resolved, the body can self-regulate, heal & regenerate. Male & female health can be improved by utilizing this therapeutic modality!

The technique combines anatomy, physiology, herbology and naprapathy (study of the ligaments, joints and muscles), with the ancient Maya healing techniques. It works by relieving congestion and blockages to improve the flow of chi and fluids of the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems and prevents the progression of chronic disease symptomology.

Dr. Rosita Arvigo, ND, along with Don Elijio Panti, the last of the Traditional Maya Shaman in Central America, developed these techniques. The Arvigo techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™ combines modern science with traditional healing and wisdom to produce a holistic path to physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. The Goddess IxChel

"Ix" in Maya means goddess or the feminine sacred, and "Chel" means the rainbow or light. Lady Rainbow, Goddess of the Rainbow or Lady of Sacred Light was her name.

IxChel was always associated with bodies of water like lakes, rivers, creeks, streams and oceans where it is more likely to see rainbows and sparkling light. She is the ancient Maya Goddess of weaving fertility, and childbirth.

Wearing a snake on her forehead she signifies that she is the goddess of medicine and always symbolizes intuitive knowledge and great control over the earthly forces. She is in a kneeling position because she in in front of a back strap loom weaving. She was responsible for the formation of a baby in the mothers womb and decided if the child would be male or female.
